Probability - number of times an event can occur divided by total number of possible outcomes
Event : a set of outcomes to which a probability is assigned
Random Experiment : an experiment, trial, or observation that can be repeated numerous times under the same conditions. Random experiment example below:
- The tossing of a coin. The experiment can yield two possible outcomes : heads or tails.
Sample space : a set or collection of outcome of a particular random experiment. Example below:
